Hill Electric Company’s employment highlights include:

Safety – At Hill Electric, the safety of our customers and associates is our top priority.   We have a thorough annual training agenda that includes an extensive OSHA course and updates.  Employees have monthly meetings at our training center, and all work sites have weekly Gang Box safety meetings.  We also have standards of daily accountability for every project.  Hill Electric is a drug-free workplace.  There is no such thing as “too much safety” in the electrical contracting business.

Employee & Family Commitment – We care about the well-being and happiness of our associates.  We realize that satisfied employees are more dedicated to their careers.  We have fun company activities for the entire family each year.  In accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act, Hill Electric grants up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave within a 12-month period to care for a newborn or newly-adopted child, or to care for a spouse or child with a serious medical condition.  We also grant time for jury duty and bereavement, as needed.

Education – In addition to OSHA safety training, we offer basic skill set training for all new hires.  Company laptops are provided for managers, superintendents and foremen.  We partner with local vocational programs to stay on top of new technology, seek advanced training on specific products, and even offer our staff personal health and financial enrichment.  The Dale Carnegie Improvement Action Plan serves as our model for employee performance.  Fully trained associates can offer our customers the best possible service.

Healthcare – Hill Electric employees are eligible for company insurance after 90 days of continuous, full-time employment.  You and your family will become eligible for group medical and dental benefits, and we will pay a portion of your insurance premium as a benefit to you.

Retirement/Profit-Sharing – After you complete one year of service with Hill Electric, in which you work at least 1,000 hours, you are eligible to participate in our Retirement Program.   Employees will be vested 100% after 5 years of participation.  We believe in rewarding associates who contribute to our long-term growth and success.

Scholarship Aid – We encourage all associates to continue their career growth.  If any full-time associate plans to return to school, the company will assist with reimbursement of expenses.  Prior approval is required, and there are minimum grade requirements for undergraduate and graduate education reimbursement.  Investment in the continuing education of our employees is one way we can encourage long-term job security and satisfaction.
